Our Partners

KIPP St. Louis is proud to partner with Washington University in St. Louis. Together our schools are building the best possible future for St.Louis.

The KIPP St. Louis schools are the only charter schools in Missouri sponsored by Washington University in St. Louis. This unique partnership ensures excellence in our basic operations (educational quality, fiscal and operational accountability, and legal compliance), but more importantly, it allows KIPPsters in St. Louis immediate access to a college preparatory education, arming them early with the skills, experiences and expectations necessary for college. Our collaboration with Washington University in St. Louis includes:

  • 25 undergraduate students provide daily tutoring through a program called Each One Teach One. 
  • Social work practicum students from the top-ranked George Warren School of Social Work support KIA's certified Social Worker. 
  • Math and science teaching support from educators with Washington University's Science Outreach program,including data analysis, curriculum planning, and teaching assistance. 
  • Development of a comprehensive literacy program called STEP in partnership with the Urban Education Institute at the University of Chicago. 
  • Students working as interns to support the Director of Development for hands-on learning experience in marketing/branding. 
  • Arts programming through the University's Center of Creative Arts.
